seeing the new year in...

Mama remained in Ipswich and spent new years with us as well :)

i received these pictures from tomoko this morning and couldn't resist sharing them with you all (especially those of you that know tomoko's little boy from tim and my wedding). can you believe he's 3 now!! enjoy and i'm sure they will make you smile like they did me :)

Christmas Day at Willows

with mama up in Ipswich for the Christmas period, we were all invited to spend christmas day with tim's family. It was a lovely day and we were spoilt rotten with gifts and amazing food :)

tim's birthday surprise

ta dah! tim's surprise was a trial flight on a cessna 150 for an hour. he was unfortunately unable to do the flight on his special day as the winds were too high, however 2 days later we were at beccles airfield on a very clear and sunny day :)
tim was involved in all the pre flight tests (as seen below)....

and was all the checks were done and tim in the pilots seat, all geared up tim took off (with an instructor next to him). he says he had a great time in the air and enjoyed the experience thoroughly. he got to do the take off, landing and most of the flying when in the air, not bad for a first flight! well done tim :)

after watching a film (instead of the flight due to the weather) we had a very filling and enjoyable lunch/ dinner..

tim blew out his candles in the evening when we were at his family home enjoying his cards and gifts from them too.
