The floor is down!

This is just after the work men had left and we were told not to step out into the conservatory for the next two days, or else we would get stuck in it!!

luckily this is Bubble on the dried floor a few days later... phew!

The next jobs to be done are the fitting of electric sockets and the plastering on the inside walls (hopefully will be happening tomorrow).

Starting to look more like an extension to our home :)

Mama's birthday

Me and Tim spent the day with Mama celebrating her birthday. First we took her to watch the Da Vinci Code- we all liked it.

Then we went to Pizza Express in Maidstone for a lovely meal.

This was the surprise birthday cake I made for Mama, I think we all quite liked it as we managed to eat it all by the following evening!!

Happy Mama having just blown out her birthday candles, with the birthday balloon on her left that arrived from Meltem :)

Conservatory progress

This was what the garden was looking like this morning.
The bricky came and put up the whole wall the day before last but it then started raining and didn't stop till this morning! Luckily the sun came out for us today.

This is bubble and squeak little tunnel through the wall, the builders will be putting a cat flap on it or else it could get a bit drafty!

let us out...... meow meow

... and this is what it was all looking like at 4pm today! The whole framework is now up and tomorrow they will be putting in the glass and the roof plus all the finer details. Doesn't it look good already?

View from inside our new room, there's going to be lots and lots of glass as you can see :)

Today's garden update

Today the workmen filled up the trenches, that had taken them 2 days to dig up, with concrete!

After they had gone for the day, I couldn't resist and wrote our initials in the wet concrete before it dried.

Tomorrow the brick layer will be coming to build the dwarf walls and as you can see, all the bricks, breeze blocks and sand have already arrived!
PS- we did make sure that our friend, Mr Frog, was moved to a new location before the concrete was poured...

Progress on our garden

Currently we have the foundations dug up for our new room, from this you can get an idea of what its going to be like.

This is Bubble in the tree at the end of our garden (when I called her she come out and gave me this pose, beautiful isn't she :)

Little while later they started playing and chasing easy other, this taken mid-action!

'oooo, what is this wheel barrow doing here upside down?'

A little friend we (actually Squeak) found at the bottom of the foundation trench.

Phew... lawn mowed, flower beds weeded and flowers fed and watered :)
