Christmas Day at Willows

with mama up in Ipswich for the Christmas period, we were all invited to spend christmas day with tim's family. It was a lovely day and we were spoilt rotten with gifts and amazing food :)

tim's birthday surprise

ta dah! tim's surprise was a trial flight on a cessna 150 for an hour. he was unfortunately unable to do the flight on his special day as the winds were too high, however 2 days later we were at beccles airfield on a very clear and sunny day :)
tim was involved in all the pre flight tests (as seen below)....

and was all the checks were done and tim in the pilots seat, all geared up tim took off (with an instructor next to him). he says he had a great time in the air and enjoyed the experience thoroughly. he got to do the take off, landing and most of the flying when in the air, not bad for a first flight! well done tim :)

hello from mini

hello, my name's mini and i'm a little bear cub!!

new job

i started a new job this week, still in BT but in a different unit- Openreach and as a Product manager. Been enjoying my first week and looking forward to the challenges and achievements to come in my new role :)
mama sent me a lovely good luck card (blue nose bear) and tim got my these beautiful flowers together with a good luck card too :)

storm II

this is Storm II at an Robot Wars like event in Folkestone. She is looking nice and tidy as we did a repaint job just before the event.
In the arena... (its not easy to get a good picture of her when she is in the arena as she travels so fast you can't catch her in the frame!!)

Tim did all the driving and did very well over the weekend. He managed a very respectable 4th place out of around 40-50 robots, well done tim :)

visiting hannie

Hannie invited me and tim to visit her up in shrewsbury for the weekend. We had a great time and it was wonderful to catch up with hannie :)

hannie also took us to visit richard (her brother) and his family. It was great to see richard after all these years and meet his lovely little daughter- molly, and ofcourse his partner monica :)

visiting banu

Mama and I went down to Margate to vist Banu to give her her birthday gifts. Unfortunatly it was a week early, but we weren't going to be able to make the real day, and as we hadn't seen her for ages we arranged to pop over to see her.

Matt, banu's boyfriend also in picture here. Banu is looking so well and it was great to catch up with her. Happy 30th Banu x

theme park weekend

Me and Tim had a bit of a theme park weekend last week, when we spent all saturday at Thorpe Park and then sunday at Chessington! We were lucky with the weather and didn't even get a spot of rain. On saturday we with friends from the roboteering community (stu, dave, sian and stu's uni friend) then on sunday we were at Chessington with Mama :)

Robbie in concert!

We arrived before it started getting dark at Hampden Park, Glasgow to see Robbie Williams in concert. You can see how impressive the staging looks and the crowds already gathering!
