our new car!

having ordered our new car 10 weeks ago, we went to pick it up today :) Its a VW Golf GT 2 litre diesel. Its a smart but sporty car and can go quite fast!

looking much more sportier (and shinny) than our old astra!

birthday celebration for mama at rowbrocke close. the weather was kind so we were able to have a nice bbq and sit outside.

meltem's return

phew, we finally saw Meltem coming through the arrival door (for those of you that don't know, Meltem got her dates mixed up for the first time during the whole of her year traveling and missed her flight home. She didn't realise she had done so until she got frantic text messages from us trying to find out where she is and if shes OK!)

amazing paradise!

Tim and I had an amazing 2 weeks on the beautiful island of Maayafushi, in the Maldives. It was exactly what we needed to relax and take things easy. Here are a few pictures from our trip;

After arriving at Male, we had a short seaplane trip to our island. Here I am at the seaplane terminal;

We spent a lot of time snorkeling whilst at Maayafushi and saw so many kinds of marine life just around the house reef. Here are just a few of them;

new camera!

Tim and I decided to update our camera to a newer Canon model. We now have the A710 IS model and this is what it looks like (as modeled by Squeak);

early mothers day

We celebrated mother's day with Mama a week early and here are a few pics from the day;

Breakfast with hot cross buns (almost Easter so the shops are packed with them).
The card with the cat on it is a Mother's day card from Mini, Bubble & Squeak to Mama :)

Malta Inn for dinner, the weather was lovely and sunny so we went for a stroll up the river before going in for our meal.
